Latest Paperchase Stationery Discoveries

In the middle of September I decided to buy some stationery. Mainly because it was around the time when all the kids were returning to school and it reminded me of the time when I used to go shopping with my mum to buy new school supplies.

Ever since I was young I've loved collecting stationery, I used to have all the smelly gel pens, animal figured rubbers, writing sets from Christmas to send thank you messages to my family and pretty notebooks.

Since starting my blog I now have a reason to start using pretty stationery again as I plan and hand write all my blog posts before publishing them as I'm much more focused and productive than sitting on my mac with the Internet being a big distraction hello twitter.

Paperchase are great for stationery, I've always loved their quirky collections and they really have great stuff in at the minute.

I first had a wander around the whole shop before picking out my favourites as it's been a while. The first collection to catch my eye was the Mystic Rose collection. Purple is my favourite colour if you hadn't noticed so that's one reason why I love this collection and two is I love the gothic skull and roses design. I picked up this hardback casebound journal £10 with an embossed flower design cover and tints of metallic silver. It contains 192 lined sheets with rose gold edges and a lovely black ribbon to keep it closed, I just fell in love with the whole design and thought it would be a perfect blogging essential.

I then was on the hunt for some pretty sticky notepads and paperchase have a great selection of these, that's when I stumbled upon the Nordic Nights collection. I'm all for a woodland theme as I just love the cute little animals with owls being one of my favourites. I picked up the Sticky Note Box £5. This contains six separate sticky notepads in three different shapes and sizes making it great for all sorts of lists, reminders and notes I need to make along the way jotting down my blog posts.

The final things I needed in my stationery collection was of course pens & highlighters, so when I saw these amazing owl shaped mini highlighters £3.50 from the Owl Crowd collection I was full of excitement to quickly purchase them. This is what I love about Paperchase with their creativity, who needs boring plain highlighters when you can have owl shaped patterned ones.

To go with this 'what now seems to be' owl theme, I spotted this black and white owl mechanical pen £2.50 and this gorgeous Uni Ball Sign Broad Metallic Bronze pen £2.50 because who wants to write in just black ink.

All of these pieces have been really helpful towards my blogging routine and if you're interested in any of the collections I've mentioned throughout this post then I've left links in the places mentioned above.

I don't know about you but I do miss writing since leaving school/uni, I don't know what it is about seeing my scribbley handwriting down on paper just makes me feel like I can let loose and just write without thinking what to put next. Call me old fashioned I guess?

Do you like to use stationery? What's your favourite collections from Paperchase?
