Every Spring I ditch the dark colours and turn to pastel colours, I think pastel nails are by far my favourite but for some reason I never wear them in Summer as it's all about bright bold tan popping colours. All of these colours are not new releases but some are new purchases for me.

Barry M 'Pickled Pear' Gelly Hi Shine £3.99

I get this shade out every Spring. I don't think this shade well ever leave my collection as I always re purchase it once it's dried out. You will need two coats of this stuff as it's a pale purple so the colour doesn't show up as well at first.

Lola Barcelona 'Born' £7.50

I got this nail varnish in a Birchbox which is a brand I've never heard of before, it's a lovely pearly pinky nude which is great for any season, all you need is one coat of this and you're good to go.

Soigne 'Pistache' £11.00

I got this nail varnish in a Birchbox which was exciting as it's always nice to try a high end varnish. Unfortunately I can only find this in a set collection but the price for the collection on the Soigne website is a great deal, I'm tempted myself. These polishes are really good, they last a long time with no chipping and this lovely minty green colour is perfect for spring.

Barry M 'Blueberry' Gelly Hi Shine £3.99

I picked this shade up this year and I love it. I can see me taking this shade into summer and it's a really bright, noticeable shade that I've had a few compliments on when I wore this. It's more like a sky blue as you can see and all you need is one coat.

Model's Own 'Swan' Speckled Hen £4.99

This collection came out I think two years ago now and I was instantly drawn to the purple shade, of course this collection is made around easter time which I wore all through March/April. You can wear this on top of pickled pear or on it's own which takes 3 coats until it gets to full coverage.

Model's Own 'Copper' Chrome £4.99

When I saw this collection last year I had already picked out the first colour I was going to purchase and of course that's going to be the Copper colour because it looks beautiful, obviously it doesn't come out like the bottle but gives your nails a metallic effect. I've been pairing this shade with all the pastel shades above as every shade works well.

What are your favourite colours to wear around Spring?
