Happy Halloween!
I celebrated this last weekend as my friend is working tonight so halloween has kind of dragged a bit for me but I've been dying to share with you all this year's costume.
It took me a while to choose what halloween look to go for this year as I didn't want to go for the usual witch, cat, vampire etc and then I found a cracked face doll picture and wanted to give it a try.
I think it was quite an easy makeup look that anyone could do and here's how I did it
For the white base I used Shazaroo which I applied with a damp sponge, for my cheeks I kept it natural and used Benefit's Rockateur. You don't have to use high end blushes, I just love this colour that's why I used this for a subtle flush on the apples of my cheeks.
On the eye's I used Eyeko Fat Eye Stick in the colour smoke and covered my whole lids, for the crease I used the black from the Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trio palette and then added mascara on my eye lashes. Under the eyes I don't own any red eyeshadow so I used the Max Factor Creme Puff blush in the shade 'Gorgeous Berries' which did the job just as well as it really blended well and gave a smokey effect. For the cracks I used Maybelline's Gel Liner pen as I had more control over the thickness of the cracks and knew they would stay in place. For my lips I've wanted to do this for a while and I probably could get away with this look on a night out but that is the black and red ombre lips. I used Rimmel Kohl eyeliner to line my lips and my Ted Baker lipstick which I got for christmas in the shade Red it doesn't have a name and I just rubbed my lips together to smudge the colours and then added a red lipgloss on top from Seventeen to add some shine.
For my hair I simply put it in pigtails and plaited them, I sprayed white hair spray all over to make it look more creepy.
The clothes were quite simple, a plain white men's shirt from tesco and I already own a black pinafore dress which I got from New Look last year, on top I wore a black and red apron which my mum had in her fancy dress collection which she probably got from ebay, I then wore some long black socks which I already own and some flat black shoes.
I hope everyone is enjoying their halloween, I will be spending the night by watching The Addams Family Values film and eating halloween sweets of course.
What did you dress up as on halloween? How did you spend your night?
