Foo Fighters Live - Finally!

Hello,

This post might not be an interest for everyone but I just wanted to share my experience from yesterday. So in a previous post I wrote a while back, I spoke about how I got tickets to see Foo Fighters Live at Wembley for my birthday, but unfortunately due to Dave Ghrol breaking his leg the show/UK tour got cancelled *cries* in June, but later rescheduled for Milton Keynes.

Kicking off the first date of the UK tour me and Sam headed down the M1 en route to Milton Keynes National Bowl. After many sing-along sessions in the car we arrived.

Sam went straight to the merch stand to treat himself with some left over birthday money and bought a tshirt, sweatband with some FF plectrums.

The show began with support acts Royal Blood who were amazing, was really looking forward to seeing these live and I think i'll deffo get tickets when they tour next, followed by Iggy Pop who I'm not a big fan of.

Foo Fighters finally appeared on stage after waiting for felt like a lifetime and played a kick ass 2 an a half hour show. Dave Ghrol sat in his throne which he explained to us how this idea became possible as he was lying in his hospital bed and paid tribute to his road crew for making it a reality by making the crowd light up there phones while they played a stripped down version of 'Big Me'.

What made this show even more special was the surprised guests which appeared on stage to play with them, introducing the one and only Roger Taylor (Queen Drummer) and John Paul Jones (Led Zepplin Bassist) naming themselves the 'super duper group' to play 'Under Pressure' by Queen & David Bowie.

Coming to an end they played there final song of the night 'Best Of You' when Dave gives a little speech "When this happened to me... I always knew we'd come back, I just hoped you would too"
and we did and loved every minute of it (apart from the drunk people causing fights next to me).
