Pastels, pastels, pastels.
The only shades on the runway that can make me dream : Celine's A/W 2013 pastel-filled lineup, Carven's deliciously oversized coat, Burberry's delightful collection in so many sherbet hues, Dior's Spring garden , Balenciaga's minimalistic-chic S/S 2014 and countless other Spring collections such as Prabal Gurung and Alexander Wang. Soft and dusky, pastels are extremely versatile and are usually paired up with minimalistic designs or bright metallics. It's the top trend this Spring because it's just so wearable (think coats, accessories, gowns and even cosmetics) .....according to Glamour anyway. I mean, just find anything in your wardrobe and it can definitely be put together with a pastel piece without having a serious fashion faux pas. And having made an appearance in so many magazines and editorials lately, it's also the perfect wardrobe choice for fall. Although being me pink is definitely my favourite, but there's also tons of other pastel colours ---- lilac, mint green, baby blue....
Pastels are definitely not for the faint-hearted style-wise but take up these Ladurée-inspired shades quick, because pastels are fast achieving eternally chic status.
