Remember earlier this year when most of us were scrambling to River Island for Rihanna's first ever clothing line? Brace yourselves for another round of that as she unveils her Fall/Winter 2013 range for the British label. For those of you craving to get an eyeful of the collection, Rihanna has just recently revealed both the campaign and product photos of all the 80-pieces available in a British Vogue exclusive.
I mean, it seemed like just a week ago that her S/S 2013 one was released and with the success (and controversy I might add) it received, I can safely say her latest collection is all that and more! The two-part line features a smorgasbord of streetwear-inspired togs from crop tops to maxi dresses with thigh-high (and higher) slits to body-con bottoms, all of them created from materials in the likes of leather, mesh, denim, snakeskin and camo prints. The threads has Rihanna's signature aesthetic written all over them (maybe even literally, with "RiRi" and "G4Life" emblazoned) : the perfect mix of lady-like with tomboy qualities, athletic with sexy.

I can't describe how much I love the camo prints! Not only do they have a tough, edgy look to them, it can give any outfit a dash of spice and colour. The combat boots, printed pants and quilted linen bomber jacket are other wardrobe must-haves worth saving up for. For those of you who are not for some of the louder pieces, don't fret! RiRi has also designed rucksacks, strappy sandals and beanies as part of the collection. (I wonder if Cara Delevingne would wear one of the beanies out in the streets once the collection is out, keep your eyes peeled!)
A collection is not complete with a campaign shoot, and this time RiRi took to the streets with a cast of both star-studded and under-the-radar faces such as Ji Hye Park, Tati Cotliar, Milou Vam Grossen and Nayasha Kusakina. Shot by notable shutterbug Lachlan Bailey, the campaign was styled by Mel Ottenberg and although it stuck close to Rihanna's fierce and bold style, it was more modern and had a lighter, more on-the-go atmosphere than the previous collection where models lounged around with dark purple backgrounds in the back. "We're giving it a New York street vibe." said Rihanna on her influence. ”I literally designed everything I want to wear—exactly how I want to wear it." I can't wait for the collection to arrive on Septmber 12th, be sure to mark your calendar! For more insider news, go to RiverIsland.com.
"The way I approach winter style is to layer up summer clothes and Rihanna does the same," Adam Selman, who worked with Rihanna on the collection, told Vogue.
