Previously, I have always considered pastels as washed out, less vibrant and colourful versions of their originals, but recently I have started to fall in love with these romantic hues. They never fail to add whimsy and fun to anything, from an outfit to an artwork or just a simple picture like the ones in this post. Plus, one look at pastels somehow makes me feel all girly (not saying that I'm not) and dreamy again, imagine eating Ladurée macarons for breakfast and having the latest It-bag swinging from your arm, who doesn't want that? For those of you vintage fashion lovers, pastels are definitely your thing. Pastels were really en vogue in the '50s and the '60s, but that doesn't mean it's passé and last season material, it's actually really versatile.

Pair pastels up with a clean white or black structured tog and throw in some gold statements and you got yourself a outfit that could last you from day to night! Or if you're going for a girly, romantic look, use pastels liberally as well as some accessories in darker tones for a well-balanced and contrasting look. Already screaming "Pastels Please!" but don't know where to start? Here is a little sartorial inspiration, hope you like it!
