Corinne Vitale is not your average 21-year-old. After taking styling studies, she was inspired to create a fashion blog to explore the intriguing world of fashion. In just a short span of 5 months she has not only won Best Beauty Blog in the very first Style Cookie Awards 2013, she has grown her blog Love's like a Runway into a diary that chronicles everything from the latest beauty products that she stocks up on, to experimenting with fashion in her personal style posts that are equal parts quirky and chic. Her beauty posts are especially compelling as she describes her experience with different beauty products in addition to giving product reviews and beauty tips. The beauty blogger shares her top 5 beauty essentials and her best moments in this exclusive interview with COSC.

1.What's the inspiration behind Love's Like A Runway?
Well, this is hard, I've been loving fashion since I remember myself, but in 2010 when I get out of their army, where I only wore the army uniform. I decided to open a fashion blog and then I started styling studies, and this gave me the most inspiration. I have closed the blog like 2 times but I'm back now from November 2013, for good.

2. What are your top 3 New Year's Resolutions?
1.Lose some weight! 2.Keep writing in the blog and do what I love 3.Success in my B.A

3.  What style of makeup do you love the most {natural, dramatic, bold etc}?
Well, in the everyday I always put foundation, mascara, blush and lipstick, but when I go out I love the dramatic look of Black Smoked eyes in combination with eyeliner. And if I don't have the time I always go for eyeliner and red lips ;)


4. How did you feel when you knew of your Style Cookie Awards win?
I was really happy! because since I've re-opened the blog I felt like I need a little push and I think that this will help, and I got to know a really good blog! (Confessions of a Style Cookie of course!)

5. What are some of your favorite places in the world?
Its really hard...I'm living now in Israel, and I'm from Buenos Aires, but I feel that I belong to Europe. When I'm in Paris I got this feeling, like butterflies in my stomach, I really in love with this city. But the last year when I went to Amsterdam I also fell in love and i think that in the future I'll totally live there.

6. Which style icons do you look up to?
I don't have one style icon, I get my inspiration from the streets and mostly from myself. It happened a lot of times that I wore something that everyone laughed at and then one year later everyone bought it too. 

7. What are some of your favorite cosmetic labels right now?
I think that right now they are: MAC, Revlon and Urban Decay.

8. What was your most memorable moment of 2013?
When I met my boyfriend, we are together since the day I met him in January 2013 until now :)

9. Your top 5 beauty essentials are...
1.Foundation : Revlon Colorstay.
2.Blush : MAC, Gentle Mineral blush.
3.Primer : Pupa, professional foundation primer, the pink one ;)
4.Lipstick : Rimmel, Kate Moss collection (they are great!) and number 107 is my favorite right now
5.Mascara : L'Oreal, Telescopic

10. 5 things about yourself?
1) I'm a B.A student of Economies and Psychology.
2) I have like 70+- pair of shoes. and its growing!
3) Since my boyfriend bough his X-box I'm totally addict to video games.
4) I know perfectly both Hebrew and Spanish (and not so perfectly English ;)
5) I'm a tattoo junkie, I had my first one the last summer and I'm totally ready for more!!!!
11. Any advice for aspiring beauty bloggers around the world? All I can say is keep doing what you love, and do it only because you love it, this is only way to be happy :)

Paris Haute Couture Week | Beauty + Backstage

Everyone know what happens in a fashion show. Models strut down the runway, donning the latest must-haves of the season, from elaborate sweeping gowns to structured coats, to unique works of art in the form of bags and shoes. But what happens backstage is as interesting as what happens on the runway. Models move from makeup to hair using a process called "model rotation" and get their names checked before they can recline back on a chair and let the makeup artists and hair stylists work their magic. While production managers rush from place to place to make sure everything is in order before the models hit the runway, models begin to put on their assigned look, from the accesories to the main pieces. Most importantly, backstage is one of the only places in the world where you can catch one-of-a-kind candids of the models on duty (Look out for Sasha Luss and Anastasia Ivanova having a selfie at Dior!). While they look serious and a tad intimidating on the runway, they are totally different backstage and if they didn't have such elaborate clothes on, you might think they were a bunch of girls having fun on their own! 

Couture 2013 played safe in terms of beauty, with most of houses going for clean natural looks rather than bombastic splashes of colour. The most maximalist one was Jean Paul Gaultier, with his towering swirls of animal print imprinted hair and thick eye makeup. I've always had a penchant for thick black eye makeup as it really draws attention to your eyes and adds major volume to the whole look. Versace did just that and it was my favourite beauty look for Couture 2013. Below are my other faves this season, hope you enjoy them as much as I do! (P.S. 1. Chance Chanel

The makeover is in the form of colourful and fun sketches by Mr. Elbaz that are all over the products in this collection, making it even more fun to use! Manchester Beauty Haul

So if you read my post on thursday you will all be aware I went to Manchester last week, to find out what I got up to then have a read here. I saved up some money and some gift vouchers which I received for my birthday/christmas and went to shops/make up counters which I can't visit often as we don't have them in Nottingham.

First of all the new release of Sleek's Cream Contour Kits have just been released so I quickly headed to superdrug to buy one as they aren't in Boots yet and these were selling out fast. I will be doing a full review of this after a few weeks but from first impressions these are really creamy and easy to apply but I just need to get the hang of contouring as this is all very new to me.

I had some points spare on my Boots advantage card so I had a wander, eyeing up all the counters and thought I needed to change to a lighter base ready for the warmer months so I went to Estee Lauder as I love their double wear foundation and liked the look of this BB cream as it contains SPF 30 so I wanted to give this a try and I love it, so happy with my choice. One thing I did know that the Manchester Boots did have was a NYX stand and I couldn't wait to visit as I can order NYX from Boots online but I like to do swatches of products so I went straight to the Lips section which was the most crowded and did a bit of swatching and came out with these two soft creme matte liquid lipsticks in the shades 06 Instanbul & 05 Antwerp

I bought a few clothing items with my vouchers, from Topshop I finally got round to buying this yellow raincoat which you can get here. I think this would be great for festivals and our unpredicted weather as we are going through April showers so it's become very handy right now. From New Look I bought this beautiful pale blue chiffon pleated midi skirt which you can view here. I thought this would be nice to wear on my holidays and in the summer when we get a heatwave hopefully.

I also treated myself to a bit of jewellery with this beautiful rose gold Pandora ring here. I like to wear this on it's own but it can be worn with other rings as a stacker.

Next I went into Selfridges which I wish I could visit often as they have a Charlotte Tilbury stand, I would of bought something but I was running low on money at this point so I thought I'd finally bite the bullet and buy something from Nars. I didn't want another lip product but I would like to try the velvet matte lip pencils at some point but I wanted to buy a new concealer and the lady helped me match the shade to my skin tone 'light' and by first impression I fell in love, it's creamy, high coverage and blended nicely I was very happy with my purchase. This is going to become a favourite of mine I just know it.

I'll be heading back to Manchester in June so no doubt I'll be back into some of these shops again.

2015 Beauty Discoveries

I was going to do a 2015 beauty favourites post but I feel like that's already been done and I've discovered quite a lot during 2015.

Make Up Sponges

Oh how much my foundation application has changed since using one of these, it creates a flawless finish every time without the brush strokes and not to mention the little hydration boost when you apply using it damp. I think it's going to take a lot for me to go back to a brush.

Primers

When I first heard about primers I thought 'what's the point' I don't need another time consuming thing to put on my face but after finally trying out a sample which I got in a Birchbox, I haven't looked back since. They make my make up last longer and create that barrier from my skin which I think is one of the reasons I don't get as many spots than I used to. Eye primers have become a lifesaver for me as I learnt I have oily lids which made my shadow collect in the crease, but with a good primer that has resolved the issue.



Lip Liners

I may be a bit late on the bandwagon when it comes to lip liners but now I can't apply a lipstick without one. They help massively in creating my upper lip shape as it's quite pale and gets lost when I apply foundation, not to mention in making my lipstick last longer plus they make a great matte lip on their own!

Eye Creams

Since Benefit released their 'Puff Off' last January I loved the packaging design and the concept so much I had to try out this quirky product being a design geek and all. I read somewhere that your suppose to start using them in your twenties or if you have tired, puffy, dark circle eyes which since working full time I sometimes get and an eye cream can help soothe and reduce this not forgetting it helps reduce fine lines which are the first wrinkles to appear, so I've heard.

Hand Cream

I've really been into using hand creams since my hands become dry a lot nowadays, keeping them moisturised a lot will help them appear younger. My mum uses hand creams so I think I've picked this habit up from her and now if I don't use one I start to feel really uncomfortable if I don't have soft hands.
